Вакуумный термопресс Hot Glass Vacuum Press 108x169
The vacuum press is mainly used to mount a picture onto the support in the most rational and clean way.
The vacuum press is a kind of suitcase; inside it is inserted the "sandwich" made of the picture, the support and the heat-sensitive adhesive sheet. The "suitcase" is closed: the pump, which sucks the air, is put into operation and the temperature is raised to about 95°. The thermosensitive adhesive at that temperature melts and makes the framework and the support, which are pushed against one another by the air gap.
All the materials can be mounted without problems of thickness or compatibility: paper, cardboard, masonite, plywood, foam board or similar, sheets of copper, aluminum, zinc etc.
Other uses of the vacuum press are:
• Hot lamination (heat sealing), which consists of applying a protective layer of PVC over the framework to improve the presentation of the subject and protect it from dirt and dust. The protective film can be glossy, satin, matte, embossed in imitation of canvas, etc. The hot lamination is a procedure used mainly by some photographic studios to give a particular appearance to photographs and enlargements.
• Coupling to the canvas (canvas bonding) that consists in mounting a photo print to a canvas base. In this way the texture of the canvas remains visible giving thus an effect similar of oil painting on canvas.
