Panels, masonite, 3 mm, cm 18x24
Masonite panels 3 mm thick.
The term “masonite” comes from the American William Mason who invented it in 1924. In some European countries it is also known as “isorel”.
The masonite panels are produced using wood chips that are crushed and passed under hot steam jets. The mixture thus obtained is packed and cemented by the Lignin contained in the wood chips. There is no addition of adhesive or other materials. The masonite is therefore an environmental “friendly” product. But we must also add that due to the lignin content, it is not an acid-free product.
The masonite is smooth on one side and embossed on the other with a "canvas" effect.
Very hard and rigid.
Damp-proof.
